Profile:

I am self-motivated, hard working and conscientious. I have 20 years of design experience and a wealth of knowledge in many related aspects of business. My greatest strengths are my energy, innovation and passion for design.

Qualifications:

Printing Science and Production Apprenticeship at the Doctor Barnardo School of Print (Distinction)

Work History:

1983-1986 Hertfordshire Mercury Newspaper: Typesetter. With the implementation of Apple Macs I progressed to work on some of the first fully DTP layout systems.

1986-1989 Roswell Haigh (Advertising Agency): Designer and then Production Manager.

1989-1993 Freelance Designer: I had the opportunity to take on a number of clients as a freelance designer working from home, including the design and production of the Tesco in-house magazine (which I continued to design for 12 years).

1993-1997 Crawford Associates: Set up Crawford Associates in Covent Garden and worked on many projects for ad agencies in the West End, including the well known Saatchi, producing Point of Sale Xmas promotions for Adams

1997-2006 Tangerine Ltd: Moved out of London and set up Tangerine (eventually employing 6 people) offering design, printing and CD duplication.

2006 Back to basics: Tangerine went into receivership after a succession of bad debts and I went back to working by myself doing just the job that I love - design! I am now looking to broaden my client base.

Design Skills:

I have an in-depth knowledge of a variety of software packages including In-Design, Quark Xpress, Illustrator, Photoshop.  I have worked on Company Branding and Logo Design from Small to Large Blue Chip Companies including: Tesco, Pizza Hut, Marks and Spencer I take special pride in: Launching a new Palm Oil called Carotino into this country, including all aspects of design, production, display material and layout. Look for it on the shelves of any supermarket!

Interests:
I love to cook, paint and listen to live music. I also find a little time to do charity work as a handyman for Age Concern.
